Ms. Schaefer's practice primarily focuses on all areas of trademark law, including prosecution and litigation. Her experience includes representing clients in trademark infringement and dilution claims, as well as assisting clients in obtaining trademark registrations.

In the area of patent litigation, Ms. Schaefer has participated in various aspects relating to pre-litigation and litigation activities, including searching and evaluating prior art and assisting with procedural discovery matters.

Ms. Schaefer obtained a B.B.A. degree in economics from The University of Iowa. She earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Schaefer was an Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711 licensed legal extern for a Chicago Legal Advocacy agency. In addition, Laura was a Student Article Editor for the LOYOLA UNIVERSITY CHICAGO LAW JOURNAL.

Ms. Schaefer is admitted to practice in Illinois. Her professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Woman's Bar Association of Illinois.
