    Mr. Cepuritis' intellectual property experience spans more than fifty years. In private practice since 1969, he has represented domestic as well as foreign clients in patent and trademark matters. Before that time, he served as patent counsel for a major domestic pharmaceutical company and for a multi-national chemical manufacturer. Prior to becoming a patent lawyer, he was a chemical engineer for a chemical company.

    Mr. Cepuritis has handled all phases of patent solicitation and litigation, including appeals and patent interferences, domestic as well as international licensing matters in diverse chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological and mechanical fields, and performed due diligence investigations for corporate acquisitions. Representative fields of involvement are pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, polymers, organic syntheses, electrochemistry, petroleum refining and recovery, catalysis, genetic engineering, industrial absorbent systems, robotics, machine tools, conveyor systems, kilns, plastics processing machinery, high-speed assembly machines, laser devices, and the like.

    Mr. Cepuritis holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York University, as well as bachelor’s (B.S.E.) and master’s (M.S.E.) degrees in Chemical Engineering from University of Michigan. His language skills include English, German and Latvian, as well as some knowledge of Russian and Japanese.

    Tali Cepuritis has been admitted to practice in Illinois, Michigan, New York and the District of Columbia, as well as before the United States Supreme Court and the Courts of Appeal of the Federal, D.C., 3 rd , 6 th and 7 th Circuits, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a member of the Trial Bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
