Shawn Duckworth is involved in various aspects of intellectual property practice pertaining to patents, trademarks, trade secrets, unfair competition and copyrights. His experience includes domestic and international prosecution of patent applications in various mechanical and electromechanical technologies, as well as counseling of clients and rendering infringement, validity, and patentability opinions. Shawn has also counseled clients regarding trademark clearances as well as the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign trademark applications.

Additionally, Shawn has experience in patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright litigation, representing plaintiffs as well as defendants. His litigation experience is in the fields of pharmaceutical manufacturing, computer hardware and software, sporting goods and trademark and trade dress infringement.

Shawn earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Kansas State University. He also was awarded a J.D. degree and LL.M. degree, with honors, in Intellectual Property Law from John Marshall Law School.

Shawn is admitted to practice in Illinois, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
